ROSEDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Police found a driver dead after being ejected from their car in a single-vehicle accident in Parke County.
According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD), early Tuesday morning, deputies responded to a single-vehicle that had rolled over multiple times at 5783 West County Road 800 South.
Police said that as deputies arrived on the scene, they located the vehicle, but no occupant was found inside.
An “extensive search” for the driver of the vehicle was then conducted around the crash scene by the Parke County Deputies, the Montezuma Town Marshall, Lyford Fire Personnel, Parke County EMS, said PCDS.
“Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle, Courtney Brown, 39, of Rosedale, was ejected from the vehicle and located deceased,” said PCDS.
An investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and PCDS will release more information at a later time.
