TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Students at Indiana State University don’t officially start school until next Tuesday. But many students began their college journey today.
Move-in weekend is happening on campus over the next couple of days. Some returning students and student organizations were there volunteering as move-in crews, making incoming students feel welcome. The start of a new school year gives new students an opportunity to decide who they want to be, as they make this transition
“Take every bit of chance that you have I would encourage our new students to get involved with as many activities as they certainly would like and this is an opportunity for students to learn about different things that they may not have had access to in high school and so really take chances take risk make a good decisions but certainly have an opportunity to get involved in things that you may not have been able to in high school,” said Maribeth Stevens, Vice President for Enrollment Management at ISU.
New students will be officially welcomed with convocation and a march through the arch on Sunday afternoon. Students will also have a chance to get involved at the student involvement fair on Sunday evening.
