CLAY CITY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— It was a fun night of school spirit in Clay City as families came together for the 4th annual Back-to-School Picnic.
The event was held at Clay City Elementary School. Families enjoyed live music, games, prizes, and balloon animals. The parent-teacher organization provided free meals for the students. Principal Brent Vaught says it’s a tradition that brings the community together and sets the tone for the months ahead.
“Just to see so many families come out and interact with each other and just be able to talk with the teachers. And just seeing so much joy on the kids’ faces, that’s what it’s all about.”
