GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — If school has arrived too soon and your child doesn’t have everything they need quite yet, the Greene County Health Department is offering a number of services this weekend.
On August 16th, at the Greene County Fairgrounds Event Center, the health department is holding a back to school health fair.
This is the 4th annaul year for the event.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., families can bring their children to the event center to check off their final back to school tasks such as physicals, vaccinations, and haircuts.
The Greene Couty Health Department is hosting the event, but Community Health Specialist McKenzie Hollingsworth said there will be a number of health organizations on site.
“Greene County General Hospital will be there, Pace will be there, BloomFit out of Bloomfield will be there”, Hollingsworth said. “Kids can go to their tables and learn about exercise, do a demonstration with them. There is other organizations they can stop at and listen to see what they have, then they’ll have prizes and different interactive games for them.”
The health fair will take place on August 16th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You do not need to register in advance to attend, it is open to the public.
