MEROM, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The first annual Merom Music Festival kicked off.
Organizer, David Shrum, says he is already looking forward to how to elevate the festival for next year. The community brought chairs, coolers, blankets, and tents to keep cool. With plenty of land, people could choose the perfect spot to enjoy the night.
Vendors provided shaved ice and food, and Meir Winery served wine slushies and other drink options. Children played on the bounce houses, while others settled in for the music. With local bands, the community saw lots of familiar faces.
“I played music around here for years and I know a lot of these guys. them two sitting on the trailer over there, I know them and like I say, I love music and so does she,” said community member, Mark Shauna.
The festival is still going tonight, ending at dark tonight.
