SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Marie Austin, the 28-year-old Sullivan woman accused of engaging in sexual exploitation of a minor, appeared in court on Monday for her initial hearing.
The initial hearing resulted in a pretrial hearing being scheduled for October 9 and a jury trial being set for December 16. A $60,000 cash bond was also set.
Indiana State Police said they initiated a criminal investigation on Austin in July 2025, after receiving information from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office that a minor female had been sexually exploited.
Austin was then arrested without incident and transferred to the Sullivan County Jail on charges of child sexual exploitation, a level 4 felony.
