TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — This weekend, the Hamilton Center hosted their annual “We live” event.
The event brought together many people all of ages to Spencer Park. The “We live” event provided free haircuts, school supplies, backpacks, clothing, raffle prices, and a variety of vendors took part in the event.
The best part, there was a little something for everyone to enjoy, from games, bubble parties, and much more. The Hamilton Center’s goal of the event is to help children feel prepared and confident when school starts.
“The community is just coming together. They’re coming together. They want to have our community to just continue to grow and to be supportive of those individuals who are less fortunate,” said President and CEO of the Hamilton Center, Melvin L. Burks.
The Hamilton Center’s next event is their 11th annual Diversity Walk on August 23rd from 9am to 11am. This event is also free to attend. To learn more about the Diversity Walk visit Diversity Walk 2025 Tickets, Sat, Aug 23, 2025 at 9:00 AM | Eventbrite.
