TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— To support local students, WTWO hosted a Stuff the Bus fundraiser on Friday.
It was a successful day as dozens of people showed up to donate school supplies. All school supplies collected from Friday’s event will be donated to Chances and Services for Youth for kids in need.
Community members donated things like paper, pencils, backpacks, and so much more. Chief Operating Officer for Casey, Brandon Halleck, said this event is a great way to help the community.
“It’s always a great time to get back to school, and it’s just a little extra boost, especially for those families that might not be able to afford school supplies heading back into this fall. You know, school is starting here in just a few more weeks.”
For those who still wish to donate, they can go to Booker T. Washington Community Center, which is located on South 13th Street.
