CARLISLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a closure coming for State Road 58.
According to the news release, beginning on or around July 28, crews are closing State Road 58 near Carlisle between Cherry Street and East County Road 4 Southeast. The release states that this will be done to allow for emergency railroad crossing repair.
The project is expected to take a week to complete, depending on weather conditions. The official detour for the project is to take U.S. Highway 41 to State Road 67. Local traffic will have access up to the closure.
