TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The average price of gasoline in Indiana has risen 11¢ per gallon in the last week and is 5.4¢ per gallon higher than a month ago. However, the price of gas in Indiana is 51.8¢ per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy.
GasBuddy is an online website and app that tracks gas prices across the United States and Canada.
In their latest price report—which surveyed 3,271 gas stations in Indiana— they found that the cheapest gas station in Indiana, on July 20, was priced at $2.61 per gallon, while the most expensive was priced at $3.67 per gallon.
The price report also found that the average price of gasoline in Indiana is sitting at $3.15 per gallon, as of July 20. This makes the average price of gas in Indiana 6¢ lower than the national average price of $3.09 per gallon.
Here in the Terre Haute area, the cheapest gas prices are at Casey’s in Shelburn, located at 604 E Curry Ave, with the price of gas sitting at $2.88 per gallon.
