SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Over in Sullivan County, many community members participated in “Fun Run for a Cause” on Saturday.
This event donates all proceeds from the run to the local Brown Baggers. Brown Baggers works to reduce food insecurity in Sullivan County. The run was a one-mile stretch, so some people ran, some walked, and some even bought their dogs to take part.
At the end of the race, participants could run through a mound of bubbles to cool off.
One participant, Matthew Price, said Brown Baggers does a lot for Sullivan kids and he is glad to be participating in an event like this.
“I brought the whole family out today. This is our first year doing so six of us running today. We’re excited to be a part of it. Excited to be part of Sullivan County and everything it does for its residents,” said Price.
Price said he plans on continuing to run in this event for years to come.
