TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The identity of the driver killed in a wreck Tuesday on U.S. 41 in Southern Vigo County has been released by the sheriff’s office.
The accident happened when a silver pickup truck traveling northbound on U.S 41 struck a white truck—driven by Lawrence Mark Oberle, 67, of Terre Haute—that was entering the northbound lane of U.S. 41 from Allendale Lane, according to police.
According to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, Oberle was killed in the crash. The driver of the silver pickup truck was transported to a local hospital following the crash. Their condition is still unknown at this time.
