VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on a fatal crash on U.S. 41 Tuesday afternoon, that left one dead and another injured.
According to a social media post from the sheriff’s office, the crash happened at 2:25 p.m. at the intersection of U.S Highway 41 and Allendale Lane.
The accident happened when a silver pickup truck traveling northbound on U.S. 41 struck a white truck entering the northbound lane of U.S. 41 from Allendale Lane, according to police.
Police said the driver of the white truck was killed in the crash, and the driver of the silver pickup truck was transported to a local hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.
A crash reconstruction team was called to the scene, and the results of that investigation are pending.
