KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man who was arrested in May for possession of cocaine is once again in custody after police say they allegedly found “crack cocaine” inside his vehicle early Wednesday morning.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, deputies made a traffic stop on a Volkswagen Jetta at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday for having no working taillights, at the intersection of State Road 67 and Bruce Road.
During the traffic stop, the sheriff’s office said, “deputies located a black bag that contained a light colored chalky/powdery substance, AKA common street name ‘crack cocaine’.” Also, deputies allegedly located a red hose with a cylindrical glass pipe and $6,485 on the driver’s person.
The substance tested positive for cocaine and weighed 24.3 grams, said police.
The driver, Adam Decoursey, 42, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, a level 4 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
Decoursey has been transported to the Knox County Jail and has been released after posting 10% of the $15,000 bond.
Decoursey was also arrested in May of 2025 for possession of cocaine between 10-28 grams and possession of paraphernalia. The status of that case is still pending.
