CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A five-month investigation conducted by the Crawfordsville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit resulted in the arrest of a Clinton resident, according to a press release.
According to the Crawfordsville Police Department, Mathew Newnum, of Clinton, was taken into custody and booked into the Vermillion County Jail with charges of possession of child sexual abuse material, a level 6 felony, and child exploitation, a level 5 felony.
The investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Rockville Police Department ICAC Unit, West Terre Haute Police Department ICAC Unit, Clinton Police Department, and the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Department.
