SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — At the Sullivan County Fair, the Farm Bureau Milkshake Booth has broken its record for the most milkshakes sold in one day.
On Saturday, the booth sold 1,703 milkshakes during its 12-hour shift, breaking the previous record of 1,623.
Rusty Deckard is the President of the Farm Bureau group in Sullivan County.
He said guests at the fair enjoy the milkshakes for their taste, the price of just $1, and that the profit goes to help local 4-H kids.
“All the profit goes to 4-H”, Deckard said. “We take out for the mix, we take out for the cups and spoons, and everything left over goes to 4-H. Since 2005, 4-H has received almost $75,000 off of a $1 milkshake.”
The Farm Bureau Milkshake Booth will be open the rest of this week, through Friday the 18th.
