TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — If you are new to Terre Haute and looking to get involved in the community, Connect IN West Central Indiana has announced their fall cohort is now open.
Connect IN West Central Indiana is an initiative designed to help residents get integrated in the communities of Terre Haute and Vigo County.
The program is aimed at new or returning residents, but all are welcome to join.
The fall cohort will begin in September with a participation fee of $500.
Director of Member Engagement, Morgan Leek, said the program is 12 weeks long, consisting of a number of activities aimed at connecting people with their community.
“They will be participating in civic engagement, meeting with different politicians and local leaders”, Leek said. “They’re also learning about some of the businesses that we have in the community and how they brought to fruition their dreams and goals and then seeing what’s coming in the future. They also are meeting with some consultants to do some professional development as well.”
Registration for the cohort must be done by August 1st. After you register, you will receive an email from the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce with more information.
If you would like to register, you can visit the Chamber’s website here.
