SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Indiana State Police divers were called to assist following a police chase in Sullivan County Thursday night.
According to Sullivan Mayor J.D. Wilson, a Sullivan City Police officer was pursuing an individual on a motorcycle on East County Road 75 North. When the officer decided to disregard the chase, the motorcycle crashed.

Our crew on the scene witnessed two Indiana State Police divers in the water and saw a motorcycle being pulled from the pond, but no person was located in the water. The pond is located near the Sullivan County Fairgrounds.
Personnel from Indiana State Police, Indiana DNR, Sullivan City Police and Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department were all present.
