VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— UPDATE: The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office released the names of the two dead people found Wednesday night.
According to a Facebook post by the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, the man and woman found dead on Shabur Avenue were identified as 59-year-old Keith Russell Chaney and 63-year-old Kathy Ann Cunning of Vigo County.
The post states the two individuals were siblings, and the investigation indicates the incident was a murder/suicide. Authorities stated it appeared Chaney shot Cunning before turning the gun on himself.
VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A death investigation is now underway after two people were found dead at a home in northern Vigo County.
According to Vigo County Sheriff Derek Fell, authorities were dispatched shortly before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night to a home near North Clinton Street and Shabur Avenue.
One woman and one man were found dead.
Sheriff Fell said there’s no threat to the public and more information will be released Thursday morning.
