MATTOON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV)— Lake Land College will be holding an event for high school students looking to get into a career in nursing.
The event is called Introduction to Nursing and will teach high school students about different careers in nursing and provide tips on their nursing special admission process. Students will also get to meet program faculty and alumni, tour Lake Land’s facilities, and receive hands-on experience in the college’s high-fidelity simulation lab. Students will also receive help on the admission process, tips for the entrance exam, available resources, and financial aid options.
The event will take place on July 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Neal Hall’s room 101. Space for the event is limited. The first 30 individuals to sign up will be able to attend the event. Registration is online and can be found at this link. Registration is open until the day of the event.
