TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Ellie Templeton has been named the new Executive Director of Art Spaces, Inc.
“Thank you to the Art Spaces Board of Directors for this opportunity,” Templeton says. “Terre Haute and the entire Wabash Valley has great momentum right now, and I’m anxious to engage in these positive changes within our community, furthering the mission and reach of Art Spaces.”
Templeton is a Wabash Valley Native and a graduate of the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. She has a background in marketing and public relations experience, having led social media campaigns and programming for a number of local small businesses and organizations.
Templeton will replace current Executive Director Ally Midgley, after she announced she would be stepping down from her role for a new adventure in Maine.
“Leading Art Spaces has been an incredible privilege,” Midgley said in April of 2025. “Public art has the power to transform spaces, inspire creativity, and bring communities together. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such passionate artists, supporters, and community members who believe in the value of public art.”
Art Spaces said Templeton will begin her new role on July 7.
