TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Deming Park Pool and Spirit of Terre Haute train are closed until further notice due to a mechanical issue, according to a social media post from the Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Department.
Assistant Director of the Parks and Recreation Department, Micha Gallion, said that due to the heat and humidity in the Wabash Valley, the pool’s filtration system caused the water to be cloudy. They decided to close the pool on Monday to give the filtration system a rest.
Gallion added that the Spirit of Terre Haute train is currently being worked on by a mechanic.
The pool is expected to be back open on Tuesday, but at this time, there is no set date for when the train will open again.
