VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One person was ejected from a semi in a rollover crash Thursday morning on I-70 in Vigo County.
The crash happened at 1:30 A.M. near the 1-mile marker on the Indiana State line.
According to Chief Deputy Michael Stewart of the Sugar Creek Fire Department, a report was received of a semi-tractor and trailer rollover with entrapment.
Stewart said, firefighters arrived on the scene and found the driver of the semi had been ejected and was underneath the cab of the truck with serious injuries.
Responders used airbags to lift the cab and remove the driver from under the vehicle. The driver was airlifted from the scene to an Indianapolis Hospital.
