VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— State Road 246 West has now reopened following a lengthy construction process.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation Public Relations Director, Blake Dollier, State Road 246’s bridge work has been finished.
Back in the beginning of June, Dollier stated that the bridge deck on S.R. 246 had been poured and the barrier was being replaced.
State Road 246 was originally slated to open on November 1st, 2024. Construction took longer than expected due to extra safety work and structure preservation beyond what was originally planned.
