TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Here in the valley, it’s a place of color, creativity, and beautiful daylily flowers.
Located at 38 West Wheller Street in Terre Haute, lays a farm of daylily flowers. Bridget Brown said the land was a dump before, and now she has created a space for the community to enjoy.
“Cleaned it all up and people started getting excited about it. They enjoy it,” said Brown.
Each of her daylily flowers are for sale, along with broken glass artwork, and her husband’s metal sculptures.
“Something to focus on and I never know what I’m going to make,” said Brown.
Brown said when someone buys something from the space, it goes right back into purchasing more supplies and anyone is willing to use the space at any time.
“They can come over whenever they want to. Sometimes when they’re going by, I’ll give them a flower because I can take the daylily off and hand them the bloom and it will last and it’s really quite beautiful,” said Brown.
A space to relax, spend time with friends, or have a photoshoot.
“Here, we have seating for everybody. People and come and bring a beverage, as long as they throw their trash away,” said brown.
A fun space for anyone.
