PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A man was arrested Thursday in rural Parke County for driving without ever being licensed when it was discovered he had a warrant for deportation.
According to a news release from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, 45-year-old Alberto Gonzalez-Viveros of Mexico was pulled over around 8:16 p.m. on State Road 59 and Ferndale Road. During the traffic stop, it was determined that Gonzalez-Viveros was driving without ever receiving a license. It was also found that Gonzalez-Viveros had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for deportation from the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Gonzalez-Viveros was transported to Parke County Jail. He is being held on no bond. According to court records, Gonzalez-Viveros has a history of previous arrests for driving without ever being issued a license. Court records state that he has been arrested for this three times since 2019. Court records also show that his only other charges had been two counts of operating a vehicle without financial responsibility and one charge of distracted driving.
