PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV)— In July, students who get their physicals done for sports at Horizon Health will be able to choose a booster club to donate half the cost to.
Clinics in Chrisman, Oakland, and Tilton, as well as the EZ Care walk-in clinics in Paris and Marshall, and Sycamore Wellness in Terre Haute, will participate in the promotional physicals. The cost is $25, and insurance will not be billed for these. The $12.50 will be donated to the booster club chosen at check-in.
Sports physicals are a yearly requirement for student athletes to assess their readiness to compete. These physicals do not replace school physicals, and no immunizations will be administered. Students under 18 must also be accompanied by an adult.
To schedule one of these promotional sports physicals, here is a list of the clinics that will be hosting them:
- Chrisman Clinic
- 217-269-2394
- Oakland Clinic
- 217-346-2353
- Tilton Clinic
- 217-655-4362
- Sycamore Wellness
- 812-877-3310
The two EZ Care clinics do not require appointments and are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.
You can also schedule a school physical, also known as an annual wellness exam. These do fulfill the requirements of a sports physical, meaning they wouldn’t need both, but the donation will not occur. Children require these physicals for kindergarten, sixth grade, and ninth grade to ensure students are caught up on vaccinations.
School physicals can be done at Horizon Health primary clinics in Paris, Chrisman, Oakland, Tilton, and Sycamore Wellness. Insurance will be billed for this.
