VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Maryland man has been arrested after shooting two whitetail deer from the roadway in Vigo County, according to officials.
According to the Indiana DNR Division of Law Enforcement, an off-duty West Terre Officer discovered the Maryland man, and a suspect from Illinois, loading two whitetail deer into their vehicle Friday night.
Both men will face charges of illegal take of a whitetail deer, shooting from a roadway, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and jacklighting.
Three firearms were also seized as evidence.

The two whitetail deer were donated to local families.
