TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Demolition is underway at the site of the previous Terre Haute Police HQ, making way for a 3-story complex that will feature over 100 one-bedroom units, according to the city.
“The Bash” will be a 3-story building complex, located at 12th and Wabash, that spans two parcels of land, with multi-use spaces on the first floor and 111 one-bedroom unit apartments on the second and third floors.

Demolition of the old Terre Haute Police HQ at the corner of 12th and Wabash is expected to continue for the next several weeks, and construction on the building is slated for later this summer.
“Another sign of progress for Terre Haute. The Redevelopment Department is a lot like the Pacers; they’re on a hot streak. This parcel will be redeveloped into apartments. Blight removal and housing continue to be a focus for the administration,” said Mayor Brandon Sakbun.
The city expects construction to be completed by the fall of 2026.
