BLOOMINGDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A 71-year-old man was arrested in Bloomingdale Monday after firing a handgun at individuals in a moving vehicle.
According to a news release from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, 71-year-old Terry Cox was taken into custody Monday night. Deputies were called to the area of Hilltop Road and U.S. Highway 41 after a report of shots being fired in the area.
While investigating, deputies determined that a man fired a pistol at a victim who was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 41. When deputies located the suspect and took him into custody, they found a loaded pistol on Cox.
Cox is currently being held in the Parke County Jail on charges of criminal recklessness with a firearm and intimidation with a deadly weapon. He is being held with no bond.
