TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County School Corporation, in partnership with the See You in Terre Haute Community Plan and the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting Community Listening Sessions for the public to provide input on how to shape the future of education in Vigo County.
According to the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, these sessions are designed to gather public input as the school corporation considers recommendations related to the number of public schools needed to effectively serve the community.
“A core objective of the See You in Terre Haute Community Plan is to support and encourage population growth in our region. Since the plan’s launch in 2019, a dedicated group of stakeholders has worked collaboratively to address key community needs. Given this long-standing commitment and broad community engagement, it is a natural fit for the Community Plan to partner with the VCSC in facilitating this important dialogue,” said the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce.
The Community Listening Sessions will be held at the Terre Haute Convention Center on Thursday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 14, at 9 a.m.
