VCSC summer 2025 food service program dates and locations

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. — The Vigo County School Corporation provides free meals to those 18 years or young each summer.

This program has been running for many years with hopes of decreasing food insecurity in the area. The program provides breakfast and lunch options.

Tom Lentes, Food Service Director for Vigo County Schools, says at the Learning Lab they have over a hundred kids from the Boys and Girls Club that eat the free lunch.

Anyone is welcome to get a meal. Lentes says the meals are made for convenience and the participating locations will serve and child.

“And it’s a real great group of kids. Where everybody is pretty happy and usually everybody at lunch is chatty and visiting. You can almost hear them back in the dining room right now,” said Lentes.

The Meadows Learning Lab provides free lunch all summer. Other locations have set dates from their free food. Below is the complete list of locations, dates and times:
