SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Over the last week, two local deputies and their K9 companion have made 23 arrests.
According to a post from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Deputies P.J. Montgomery and Cole Boatright, along with K9 Qlark have been conducting proactive patrols in concerning areas. As a result of their efforts, 23 individuals have been arrested for numerous different crimes.
Some examples of their work are as follows:
- One male was apprehended following a traffic stop in Sullivan for possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
- Another traffic stop in Sullivan resulted in the arrest of a male, who has been wanted since 2019, for a warrant from Vigo County for sexual battery.
- One female was arrested in Hymera following a traffic stop. The female was found to be in possession of methamphetamine with her juvenile child in the vehicle.
- Two individuals were arrested in Hymera after a traffic stop revealed they were in possession of illegal narcotics and a firearm.
- In Merom, a man was arrested and charged with domestic battery and strangulation following a thorough investigation by responding deputies.
- A Chicago man was arrested following a traffic stop for auto theft. During the stop, deputies discovered the male was driving a vehicle that was reported as stolen from Cullman County, Alabama.
- A Carlisle man was arrested for domestic battery and neglect of a dependent after a joint investigation with the Indiana Department of Child Services.
- A Dugger man was arrested for domestic battery and strangulation after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance report.
- Two were arrested in Shelburn after a physical altercation in which a female attempted to run over a male with a vehicle. Both were arrested for domestic battery and additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Twelve other individuals were also arrested and taken in by the trio for driving with suspended licenses in separate incidents.
