TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Pool season will be here before you know it and preparations are well underway at Deming Pool in Terre Haute.
Director of Recreation Jennifer Johnson said crews applied paint last week. In the next couple of weeks, crews will put the water in and have it tested.
Johnson said that the pool is also well-staffed on lifeguards for the season.
She said people love coming to the pool and making memories, and added that the pool is in a great, central location for some family fun.
“My favorite thing is to see the achievements, the accomplishments of the little ones learning to swim or being maybe nervous that first time they come at the beginning of the summer, and then swimming like a fish by the end of the summer,” said Johnson.
Johnson said the plan is to open the pool on May 24.
