YORKTOWN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Fire officials believe an SUV that caught fire on I-69 earlier Tuesday was caused by a lightning strike.
It happened Tuesday morning near mile marker 241 in Delaware County. The Yorktown Fire Department said when firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the SUV heavily on fire.
Crews were able to extinguish the flames, and no injuries were reported. Authorities say the SUV was hit by lightning while driving on the interstate.
