DECKER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The front of the Decker Town Hall has collapsed thanks to strong storm winds.
According to our friends at WAKC, the collapse happened around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday. No one was inside the building, and no injuries were reported. Officials stated that they believe strong winds from a recent thunderstorm caused the collapse, along with bringing down several limbs and branches through town.
The Decker Clerk-Treasurer, Penny Culp, told WAKC that the town hall will now be closed on Wednesday. Any residents who need assistance can contact Culp directly at 618-928-3811.
