TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A fire occurred Thursday night that displaced a family of seven who occupied the home.
According to the Terre Haute Fire Department’s Public Information Officer (PIO), firefighters responded to a fire at a home located at 3235 North 21st Street at 10:06 p.m. Thursday night. The first units on the scene stated that smoke and flames were visible, and utilities were on.
The PIO also stated that the home was occupied at the time of the fire by two adults and five children, though no injuries were reported. Though the structure isn’t considered a total loss, it has been considered unable to be occupied at this time. The Red Cross did not need notification due to the family having alternate lodging. The investigation is still ongoing, but no foul play is suspected.
