FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Multiple road closures are coming in the next few weeks that could cause drivers to change their routes.
A few closures are scheduled for Vigo County. The westbound lane of Hulman Street will be closed until 5 p.m. on April 25 to address a sinkhole. Another is Haymaker Avenue in West Terre Haute, scheduled to close from Strole Place to Graham Place from April 23 to April 30. This portion of the road will be shut down so that a culvert replacement can take place. No traffic will be allowed through.
Knox and Daviess counties will also be looking at a road closure planned for State Road 58. The closure is set to begin on or around April 28 near Elnora between State Road 57 and 67. This closure will also be due to a chip and seal project that is hoped to help improve and preserve the road. Work is expected to take one week to complete, depending on weather. The official detour is State Road 57 to State Road 358 to State Road 67.

Another closure to address will occur in Sullivan County on State Road 154. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), on or near May 7, crews will be closing State Road 154 near Graysville between U.S. Highway 41 and the Illinois State Line. This closure will be done in an effort to accomplish a chip and seal road maintenance project. The closure is expected to last for two weeks, depending on the weather. The official detour set up will be U.S. Highway 41 to U.S. Highway 50 to Illinois State Route 33 to Illinois State Route 1.
