TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local garden club is ‘beautifying’ Terre Haute in honor of their upcoming annual plant sale.
Honey Creek Garden Club is a local club that hosts annual plant sales. All of the money raised from their plant sales go directly to support scholarships for local students who will study botany, biology, agriculture, or environmental sciences in college.
On Wednesday, with the beautiful weather, you could find members of the club painting a brand-new mural outside of Central TV Warehouse in hopes to get those excited for the upcoming plant sale.
“It is a scholarship fundraiser, and we have been working really hard,” said Fern Edwards, a member of the Honey Creek Garden Club. “We have taken starts from our garden with some wonderful variety. Perennials, native plants, house plants, and we have stock from Anderson’s nursery.”
The annual plant sale will of course feature lots of plants, food trucks, and raffle prizes.
You can see the finished mural for yourself and help support local students at the Honey Creek Plant Club annual plant sale on May 3rd from 8 a.m. to Noon at Central TV Warehouse in Terre Haute.
