CLINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A representative of the Clinton Township Water Department stated that residents in the two Indiana towns will have their water shut off tomorrow due to repairs needed in the water line.
According to the representative, the towns of Blanford and Centenary can expect the shutoff to occur around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22. This is due to repairs that will need to be completed on the water lines. The water line is only expected to take a few hours to complete, and then after that, residents in the two towns will be put on a boil order.
The CDC’s guidance for how to properly boil water during these situations is as follows:
- Fill a pot with water.
- Heat the water until bubbles come from the bottom of the pot to the top.
- Once the water reaches a rolling boil, let it boil for 1 minute.
- Turn off the heat source and let the water cool.
- Pour the water into a clean container with a cover for storage.
