TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The south Walmart location in Terre Haute is working with local law enforcement for the biannual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
An in-person medication disposal event will take place in Terre Haute on April 26. Law enforcement officers will be set up in the parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help the public safely dispose of any unwanted, unused, or expired medications.
“Keeping our communities safer by preventing misuse of medication is essential,” said Lisa Young, Group Director with Walmart Specialty Compliance and Ethics. “It’s really exciting to see everyone come together for this initiative, and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
Other options are available in Terre Haute if you can’t make the event.
