TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Tuesday evening, families attended Booker T. Washington School’s annual family resource night.
This event gives students the opportunity to showcase their work, art and projects completed during the school year. Also, numerous community agencies attended the event to provide information to the families, like job and college opportunities.
Principal Lindsay Wilhoyte said it’s better for families to have these opportunities available in a comfortable setting.
“They know us and we know our families and so they can come here and get all of the resources at one time and talk to people. And maybe get them some services that they have really been needing, but they just didn’t know where to get them,” Wilhoyte said.
