SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Friday, one of the men accused in the death of a retired farmer appeared in a Sullivan County court.
William Grimes faces murder charges in the 2012 death of 85-year-old Lowell Badger. In court, Grimes’ attorney asked that he be moved closer to Sullivan County. Currently, he’s being housed in Pendleton.
The prosecution and defense talked about questions that will be asked of potential jurors, including how much they know about the case due to pre-trial publicity. Grimes will have another court hearing on April 25. His trial is set for May 12.
Grimes, his brother Arthur Grimes, and Richard Taft are all accused in the shooting death of the retired farmer.
