AURORA, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A year-long investigation by the Indiana State Police has concluded in the arrest of an Aurora, Indiana man.
April 10, a detective with the Indiana State Police Versailles District arrested 49-year-old Merci D. Davis, also known as Scott H. Davis, based on an investigation that started in April of 2024. Davis was arrested without incident and taken to Dearborn County Jail, where they are awaiting extradition to Monroe County.
The investigation started after the detective interviewed a victim at Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Center in July 2024, after child molestation allegations were made in April 2024. The victim stated that the molestation occurred in several places, including Vigo County, Monroe County, Missouri, and Florida, and identified Davis as the suspect. Davis is currently being held on three charges of child molestation, a class A felony.
