TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Hundreds of attendees got to dance the night away at the 2025 Grace Gala event, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
This prom-like event serves individuals with disabilities and gives them a chance to be celebrated in a big way two nights a year. WTWO’s Julie Henricks was the emcee for the event.
Before hitting the dance floor, arriving members got to walk down a red carpet showing off their outfits. They were given an escort, which included officers from THPD, the Indiana State Police and the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office. Attendees also had a special dinner, limo rides, and other activities.
“It’s just a great time. Great way to just encourage people and love people well. And also brings the community together,” Student and Disability Minister Jess Berryhill said.
This event is also happening on April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m.
