TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the second cohort of the Intern Experience IN West Central Indiana, a program designed to connect interns with the people, places, and professional opportunities that make the region a great place to live and work.
“Getting talented young people to feel connected to the community and seeing what our region has to offer is key to retaining a workforce that is vital to our continued positive momentum,” said Kristin Craig, President/CEO of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce. “The Intern Experience IN West Central Indiana program provides a unique platform for interns to develop professionally while also discovering why West Central Indiana is an excellent place to start and grow their careers.”
This eight-week program offers interns a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the West Central Indiana community. Participants will engage in a series of experiences, including networking events with elected officials, community service, social events, and team-building activities. Through these activities, interns will build meaningful connections with peers and business professionals while gaining a deeper understanding of the region’s offerings.
Businesses looking to participate in the program need to enroll their interns by May 9. This initiative is an excellent opportunity for employers to enhance their internship programs, foster talent retention and contribute to the long-term success of the regional workforce.
