TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) The American Red Cross is offering free clean-up kits to flood victims in the area.
The kits will be available starting Monday at The American Red Cross, located in the Meadows Shopping Center in Terre Haute, on the lower level of the building. Clean-up kits include bleach, a bucket, scrubbers and sponges, mops, brooms, long-handle squeegees, garbage bags, and gloves.
Volunteer Janice Hawkins said it’s important to have these kits on hand.
“During the flood clean up you want to be extremely careful because of stagnate water and that type of thing. The kit just comes in handy it’s all in a bucket and easy to use.”
Kits can be picked up April 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through April 11.
