CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced a pavement patching project on I-70 beginning Monday.
The $500,000 9.5-mile patching project will start 1 mile west of the Marshall interchange on I-70 to the Indiana State Line.
One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions of I-70 with barrels, message boards and arrow boards directing traffic. The ramps at the Marshall interchange will remain open.
IDOT says motorists should follow traffic control devices and allow for extra travel time. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices, and be alert.
The project is expected to be completed in early May.
