TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The 181st Intelligence Wing, a division of the Air National Guard, will be conducting a four-day training exercise from April 3-6.
According to a post on their Facebook page, the group stated that citizens could see an increase in activity from the airmen and local partners on and near the base. The post also stated that these exercises could involve burst simulators and that people might notice sirens, announcements, or loud bursts, among other things, during the training period.
The Intelligence Wing also stated that there will be scenarios during this time that “may cause concern” but said that they are only a part of the exercise and that they are only trying to increase their ability to perform their mission and responses effectively. They said that they are dedicated to the expertise of their airmen but also take pride in being good neighbors and that residents should feel comfortable to get in touch with them for any questions or concerns.
