TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The City of Terre Haute is looking to revitalize Deming Park’s aquatic center.
Mayor Brandon Sakbun recently shared three possible designs on the Mayor’s Office Facebook page. You can see the designs below.

He said when other similar-sized cities or even smaller communities have quality pools, Terre Haute residents deserve a quality pool too. He also said quality public recreation can help improve the health of the community.
Mayor Sakbun explained the project will be paid for by federal funding and gaming revenue.
“We need to be, one, fiscally responsible, and two, provide a quality of life that residents expect and deserve. A lot of people say you can’t do both and we continue to prove in Terre Haute that we can,” said Mayor Sakbun.
He added the parks board is currently evaluating and discussing the project and he hopes to get it going in August.
